JCVG ESTATE CHRONOLOGY
The JCVG Estate was born with the vision of developing a vineyard and olive plantation adhering to traditional practices and customs and the highest quality standards, which would allow the production of world-class wines and olive oil.
The JCVG Estate brought together the talent and support of a multidisciplinary team of experts in cultivating and harvesting the best variety of grapes and olives, and its first task was to identify the land with the best soil in Valle de Guadalupe.
THE LAND
23 hectares of plots were acquired. These plots have optimal vegetation for cultivation, which is supported by their robust olive trees that are more than 70 years old, 100% preserved and healthy by nature itself. Likewise, the configuration of the soil is ideal for preserving water naturally.
CROP PLANNING
The developing of technical studies of the soil and subsoil began; coordinated by experts in viticulture, viticulture, botany and oenology. The ecosystem and geology in general were analyzed. After a detailed selection process, the vine strains were acquired to be planted and cultivated.
2011 - 2014
PLANTING
The first vines were planted in April 2017:
- Sauvignon Blanc (Origin: France)
- Nebbiolo (Origin: France)
2015 - 2018
FIRST HARVESTS
In 2019, Sauvignon Blanc (August 2019) and Nebbiolo (October 2019) grapes were harvested, and their musts were fermented to obtain the first generation of wines born on the plots of the JCVG Estate.
THE RESERVOIR
Respecting the configuration of the Sierra de San Felipe, its natural slopes and rain currents, and supported by technical studies, soil adaptations were made to channel and capture water directly from the San Felipe range; forming a natural reservoir that allows water to be used gradually.
The reservoir captures the water that runs off the mouth of the San Felipe range's canyon; from its conception, it was ensured that the water would continue efficiently through the natural channel.
The reservoir's primary mission is to preserve and sustainably care for the ecosystem and the water used to irrigate the vines and olive trees.
SUBSEQUENT PLANTING
The following grape varieties are planted:
- Syrah, planted in 2019 (Origin: France)
- Malbec, planted in 2019 (Origin: France)
- Merlot, planted in 2019 (Origin: France)
- Cabernet Sauvignon, planted in 2020 (Origin: France)
- Tempranillo, planted in 2021 (Origin: France)

The JCVG Estate produces and harvests Sauvignon Blanc, Nebbiolo, Syrah, Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Granache varieties, which are used to make the premium LUNAS DE BAJA wines, a unique tasting experience.
